File Management: Upload Additional Files

Learn how to upload and manage data files securely through

The File Management feature within the OWL Admin Console allows users to manually upload files that are not available in the integrated source systems but are still essential for reporting, analysis, or operational processes.

This section ensures that all critical business inputs โ€” even those managed outside of core systems โ€” are properly centralized and available for use within OWLโ€™s data workflows.

When to Use This Feature

The File Management section is designed for manually uploading files that do not exist in the source system but are still required for reporting or analysis.

Common examples include:

  • Manual price lists
  • Safety stock spreadsheets

๐Ÿท๏ธ Recommended Naming Convention

To ensure consistency and traceability, we recommend naming files using the following format:

Client_FileType_YYYYMMDD.extension

Examples:

  • CocaCola_ManualSafetyStock_20250210.xlsx
  • This format helps track file versions and ensures files can be easily identified across teams and audits.

๐Ÿงฉ Best Practices

  • Only upload files that supplement source system data โ€” not duplicates of existing integrations.
  • Use clear and consistent categories when possible to improve file management.
  • Keep file versions updated and remove outdated uploads when no longer needed.
