Permission and Security

Learn how access and permissions work in OWL and how to request a role change to view additional modules.

Overview

Access to the OWL Platform is role-based. When a user account is created, it’s assigned a role that determines which modules and features the user can see and use.

If you need access to additional modules, follow one of the request paths below.


Option 1 — Request Through Your Company Administrator (Recommended)

  1. Confirm authorization. Make sure your manager approves the access you’re requesting.
  1. Find your administrator (if you’re not sure who it is):
      • Click your profile icon (bottom-left).
      • Select My AccountOrganization.
      • In the Role column, locate a user with an Admin role.

  1. Contact the admin and request a role change.
  1. Your administrator will update your role and notify you once complete.

Option 2 — Request via The Owl Solutions

If you can’t reach your admin:

  1. Ensure authorization from your manager.
  1. Ask your manager to email info@theowl.solutions with:
      • Your Name
      • Your Email
      • Requested Role (e.g., Standard User, Super User, Admin)
  1. You’ll receive a confirmation email from The Owl Solutions when your role is updated.

Security Notes & Best Practices

  • Roles follow least-privilege: users should have only the access needed for their job.
  • Admins are responsible for granting/removing access and auditing roles regularly.
  • If you suspect unauthorized access, contact your admin immediately or email info@theowl.solutions.
